New high-speed train to Cologne

Good news for local residents who regularly travel to Germany. From September, you can travel directly from Brussels Airport to Cologne with Deutsche Bahn’s high-speed train. 

Two trains depart daily from Brussels Airport to Cologne, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. The journey takes approximately two hours. Tickets for this new connection are already available. 

Sustainable travel to and from the airport 

With this new service, Brussels Airport becomes even better connected to the European high-speed rail network. Travellers from Germany now have a smooth and sustainable way to connect to Brussels Airport’s extensive network of more than 180 destinations. 

In cooperation with Brussels Airlines, the train connection will also receive a flight number. This means a single booking for the entire journey, without the need for separate tickets. In the event of delays, onward connections are guaranteed. 

With this new international high-speed rail connection, Brussels Airport is once again taking an important step towards more intermodal and sustainable travel.
