🚆 From the train station under the terminal, you can travel directly or with a single transfer to all major cities in the country.
🚋 And then there's the Ringtrambus, which will take you swiftly to Vilvoorde or the UZ Brussels hospital in Jette, mostly in dedicated bus lanes.

With Mobility Week, which will take place from 16 to 22 September, coming up, we are happy to provide you with an overview of the many options available at Brussels Airport.

Whether you travel on foot, by bicycle, bus, train or shared car, there is a solution for everyone. Mobility Week, with car-free Sunday on 21 September, is the ideal opportunity to try out new ways of getting around.

🚆 Train

Every day, some 220 trains stop at 'Brussels Airport - Zaventem' station.

  • There are direct services to 84 stations, including Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Gent, Knokke, Kortrijk, Leuven, Liège-Guillemins and Ostend. We even have direct trains to Breda and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
  • On weekdays, up to 8 trains an hour will take you to Brussels.
  • With an average of 21,000 train travellers a day, the airport station ranks 13th in Belgium.

 

🚌 Bus

Every day, some 600 buses serve the airport.

Publc bus services

  • 9 bus lines operated by De Lijn connect Brussels Airport to the region: 21, R26, R59, 71, 8291, N62 (night service to Place Rogier) and R20 (Ringtrambus to UZ Jette in free bus lanes).
  • Line 12 operated by MIVB/STIB, also known as Airport Line, will take you from the airport to the European Quarter in only 30 minutes.

Intercity buses

  • Flibco: to Rotterdam and Breda, among other places
  • Flixbus: to international destinations including Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Lille, Maastricht and Rotterdam, and to several big cities in Belgium

🚲 Prefer to bike?

The cycle network at and around the airport is being systematically improved and expanded. This means you can cycle smoothly from Brussels Airport to Leuven, Brussels city centre and Vilvoorde, among other places, via cycle highways such as the F3 and the F214.

🔧 A Bike Service Point, where you can pump up your tyres or carry out minor repairs, is available near the entrance to the terminal on level 0.
