1.1 By using the parking badge, the Company accepts these parking regulations, which govern the relationship between the Company and Brussels Airport Company NV (hereinafter the Airport Operator). The parking regulations are handed over to the Company following the conclusion of a parking agreement.
1.2 These parking facilities are managed by the Parking Management department of the Airport Operator. In exceptional circumstances not described in these regulations, the Company is required to comply with special instructions issued by this department. This department is located at:
Brussels Airport Company NV
Parking Management Department
Arrival Hall Level 2, Welcome Center
Brussels National Airport
1930 Zaventem
Tel. 02/753.68.32; email: parking@brusselsairport.be
1.3 The Airport Operator is not a custodian and therefore has no duty of safekeeping. The parking facilities are made available to the Company for normal and temporary use; the Company remains at all times responsible for the vehicles of its users and their contents. This also means that the Airport Operator cannot be held liable for any damage caused by third parties to the vehicles or their users. In particular, users shall not store materials in their vehicles that may endanger the safety of Brussels Airport or its users.
2.1 The parking badge is provided by the Airport Operator and remains its property. It is generally payable in accordance with the contractual agreement. A parking badge is issued once the contract or receipt has been signed and any applicable fee and deposit have been paid.
2.2 The parking badge grants access only to the parking area(s) for which it was issued and for the period for which payment has been made in advance. Any changes must be immediately communicated to the Airport Operator.
2.3 In case of loss or permanent damage to the parking badge, an administrative fee of EUR 100.00 plus VAT will be charged; in case of normal wear and tear the badge will be replaced free of charge.
2.4 Regardless of the reason for termination of the agreement, the parking badge must always be returned to the Airport Operator’s Parking Management department.
2.5 The Airport Operator cannot provide personal information regarding parking badges to the Company, except for necessary billing information, or when justified within the purposes of parking management as described in these regulations, or in case of legal exceptions.
3.1 No activities other than parking the vehicle and/or trailer are permitted in the parking facilities.
3.2 The parking badge grants the right of access to the parking area but does not entitle the user to a reserved parking space, unless explicitly agreed in the parking agreement.
3.3 Users circulate in the parking facilities at their own risk. They must respect a maximum speed of 10 km/h and obey traffic signs and markings. The traffic regulations of the road code apply. The engine must be switched off once the vehicle is parked.
3.4 If, in the reasonable opinion of the Airport Operator, the vehicle or its contents pose a danger to persons and/or property at any time, the Airport Operator has the right to have the vehicle removed, without compensation to the user. If possible, the Airport Operator will inform the Company. A report will be drawn up in such cases.
3.5 The use of the parking for caravans and trailers is not permitted.
4.1 Improper use of the parking badge may result in its immediate withdrawal without any right to compensation. If necessary, the Airport Operator may take all measures to obtain compensation for damages suffered.
4.2 In case of flagrant or repeated misuse (failure to respond to warnings from the Airport Operator), the parking badge will be withdrawn and, if necessary, the vehicle may be immobilized or towed (in case of immobilization or removal, the Airport Operator is not liable for any damage caused to the vehicle and/or accessories due to the user’s failure to comply with the parking regulations and/or agreement). All risks and costs are borne by the Company, including an administrative fee of up to EUR 100.
4.3 In all cases of misuse, the Airport Operator will inform the Company, with justification, of the measures taken.
