In the next two years, the four-star Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel, that was opened in 1989, will receive a complete makeover. Work on the renovation of the hotel's façade has started this summer.
Apart from the renovation of the façade, the project includes the construction of a new glass gallery in the reception and restaurant area. This will enlarge the current lobby area to create different hospitality zones for both hotel guests and visitors.
The guest rooms will also be fully refurbished, while the restaurant will undergo a complete renovation. The building's top floor, which currently consists of meeting rooms, will be converted into additional executive rooms. This will help meet current high occupancy levels and anticipate future demand for hotel accommodation at the airport.
An upgrade of the hotel's HVAC systems and a new roof will significantly improve the building’s energy efficiency.
The renovation has been carefully planned and phased to allow the hotel to remain open thoughout the works, with minimal disruption to the guests. The full renovation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
