Ready for the Brussels Airport Marathon 2023?

42, 21 or 10 km? Choose your favourite distance and participate on Sunday October 1st in the Brussels Airport Marathon, Half Marathon or Mini Marathon.

We're happy to announce that we have extended our title sponsorship of the Brussels Marathon and Half Marathon for the next three editions. So, we're already looking forward to welcoming as many airport community runners as possible for the next edition in October.

The 18th edition of this international running event (and the 4th with Brussels Airport as title sponsor) will take place on Sunday 1 October 2023. Save the date!

In 2022, 230 colleagues from 17 airport companies took up the challenge. We hope to see many more runners from the airport community at the starting line this year!

A running event, open to all

The Brussels Marathon is open to all runners, from newbies to experts. Participants can choose between 3 distances: the 10-km mini marathon, the half marathon (21.097 km), and of course the full marathon (42.195 km).

Moreover, the courses were redesigned. The starting line odf the Marathon and Half-Marathon is located on the Place de Brouckère in the very centre of the city with the finish line located in the King Baudouin stadium.

The different courses will take you past the iconic highlights of our capital, which makes it all the more inviting and exciting to participate.

More information is available on Facebook, Instagram en https://brusselsairportmarathon.be

National industrial action on Wednesday 25 June

What is the situation?

Due to the national industrial action on Wednesday 25 June in which the staff of the security service provider is participating, we unfortunately expect major disruptions to our airport operations on that day.

What does this mean for my flight?

To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with the airlines, not to operate any departing flights on 25 June. The airlines will contact passengers directly to inform them of their options.

Arriving passenger flights

As departing passenger flights are cancelled, cancellations are also possible on some arriving flights. We advise all passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline or on our website or the app.

The flight overview on our website will show cancellations only once they are registered by the airline.

Public transport

Significant disruption to public transport is expected. Please consult the website of  NMBS/SNCB and De Lijn for the latest information regarding their services.

We regret the inconvenience caused by this action.
