Easter at the airport

With just a few weeks to go, Easter is right around the corner! Here at Brussels Airport, we’re already getting into the right mood. Perhaps you’ve already spotted an Easter bunny or a chocolate egg inside the terminal? Here are some of the entertainments we’ve got lined up for Easter.

Family Lane in association with Disney
Over the Easter season, we give special attention to our youngest passengers. Families with young children can make their way to the family lane at the screening desk, which is dressed up in a 101 Dalmatians theme. Each child is given a small gift along with a map for a fun photo hunt, with the aim of finding certain locations at the airport.

Search & find image
Maybe you’ve already caught sight of the search & find mural published on our social media. The drawing shows our departures hall, where 10 Easter eggs have been hidden. Your job is to try and find them! Check out the image on Facebook or Instagram.

Spring Terrace
In time-honoured tradition around this time of year, we’ve set up a terrace on the curb, where passengers can catch the early spring sunshine.

Easter decorations
Easter decorations have been put up all around the airport to add to the festive cheer. At the departures hall for instance, you’ll notice a gold Easter egg and an impressive chocolate sculpture by Neuhaus nearby. At various locations around the airport building, you will also find footprints of the Easter bunny.

Kids spring garden
In addition, we’ve laid on a frolicking fun play area for kids, including a jump course, an obstacle course and an interactive wall. Our youngest guests get to cavort to their hearts’ content at the Connector next to Café Comptoir.

Special acts/BRU's got talent & Mr Whisper
On 14 April, the brilliant Easter Bunny Band will be playing a series of fun sing-along tunes inside the Terminal.
During the morning rush on 5 and 8 April, Mr Whisper will be laying on a show for passengers waiting for their flight, during which he will he dishing out chocolate eggs to young and old!

Shopping vouchers for IDF
Hostesses dressed as Easter bunnies wail be handing out discount vouchers to passengers. The vouchers can be used in the airport shops. The hostesses will be dishing out Easter eggs too.

Easter menus at Autogrill
Various restaurants and bars at the airport will be serving a special Easter menu. And anyone ordering a hot drink can expect an Easter egg.

National industrial action on Wednesday 25 June

What is the situation?

Due to the national industrial action on Wednesday 25 June in which the staff of the security service provider is participating, we unfortunately expect major disruptions to our airport operations on that day.

What does this mean for my flight?

To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with the airlines, not to operate any departing flights on 25 June. The airlines will contact passengers directly to inform them of their options.

Arriving passenger flights

As departing passenger flights are cancelled, cancellations are also possible on some arriving flights. We advise all passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline or on our website or the app.

The flight overview on our website will show cancellations only once they are registered by the airline.

Public transport

Significant disruption to public transport is expected. Please consult the website of  NMBS/SNCB and De Lijn for the latest information regarding their services.

We regret the inconvenience caused by this action.
