The aviation winter season starts on 25 October. Passengers travelling from Brussels Airport this winter can choose from no fewer than 136 direct destinations, including four new routes.
New destinations this winter season:
-
Nantes (France)
Starting 26 October, Easyjet will operate two flights a week to new destination Nantes. -
Santiago de Compostela (Spain)
From 1 December, newcomer Fly2Galicia will be flying twice a week to the popular Spanish pilgrimage destination Santiago de Compostela. -
Kemi-Tornio (Finland)
Those who are more taken with deep fjords and unspoilt Scandinavian countryside can fly with Brussels Airlines to Kemi-Tornio in Finland this winter (twice a week from 25 December). -
Evenes (Norway)
Brussels Airlines is also launching a new route to Evenes in Norway for those wishing to see the Northern Lights (once a week from 6 February 2027).
Other airlines too are expanding their offer. Since the summer, Transavia has operated a full base at Brussels Airport and will fly three times a week to Las Palmas (Spain) from 28 October, twice a week to Reykjavik (Iceland) from 30 October and three times a week to Porto (Portugal) from 14 December.
In addition, Brussels Airlines and Finnair will also serve the popular Finnish ski resort of Kittilä this winter season. Finally, Etihad will increase its frequency to Abu Dhabi from seven to eleven flights per week from 15 December.
Both traditional winter and sun destinations remain popular
During the cold winter months, Belgians traditionally travel to sunny destinations in Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands. The Scandinavian region too remains popular, especially among travellers who cannot get enough of winter sports and winter fun.
Travellers looking for destinations further afield have access to the airport's strong intercontinental network, with no fewer than 40 nonstop destinations.
