After the two-week autumn holiday in French-speaking Belgium, the holiday period in Dutch-speaking education starts on Friday 30 October. In total, the airport expects more than 1.7 million passengers throughout the entire holiday period. A smooth start to the holidays requires proper preparation. We therefore recommend passengers to arrive two hours ahead of their scheduled departure time for flights within the Schengen area and three hours for non-Schengen flights.
Brussels Airport is easily accessible by public transport. Passengers who come by car can book a parking space online. Travellers are advised to check the hand luggage rules before they leave for the airport so that the security screening process can run efficiently.
