ACI Health Accreditation extended

At the end of September, Airports Council International (ACI) extended Brussels Airport’s Airport Health Accreditation until 21 September 2022.

In the summer of 2020, ACI launched the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) program to help airports implement the necessary health safety measures to reassure passengers and governments that safe travel is also possible in Covid times. Brussels Airport received the accreditation on 16 September 2020 for a 12-month period.

In 2021, the AHA programme was updated based on the latest recommendations of the ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART) and the ACI Europe Guidelines for a healthy passenger experience.

Brussels Airport submitted an exhaustive file and successfully applied for reaccreditation.

In the letter that accompanied the reaccreditation certificate, Brussels Airport received congratulations from Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General ACI World and Olivier Jankovec, Director General ACI Europe.

This is how they put it:

“Brussels Airport has demonstrated an admirable continuation of its efforts to provide a safe airport experience for all travellers which is in line with the recommended health measures established in the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force Recommendations, along with industry best practices.”

The letter ends with:

“As countries slowly reopen and travel restrictions lifted, we are confident that your efforts will succeed as we transition back into a promising future.”

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to achieving this reaccreditation.

Keep up the good work!
