Brussels Airport Marathon 2021 postponed

Last year in July we had to announce the postponement of the Brussels Airport Marathon & Half-Marathon. Although organizer Golazo, the  City of Brussels and we as title sponsor have long been full of hope to see us all run together on 3 October 2021, we jointly decided to once more postpone this international running event.

Outdoor running events can be organised under strict conditions. But the Brussels Marathon which attracts tens of thousands of enthusiastic runners every year, wouldn’t be the same with only a fraction of them or an absent audience to cheer them on. Pending a successful vaccination campaign and the further relaxation of travel restrictions, we agreed it was the best option to postpone the event until October 2022.

Of course, we will still be title sponsor next year and are eager to welcome back as many airport community runners as possible on Sunday 2 October 2022. So, don’t put away those running shoes yet and keep on training, because running together in the open air continues to be a great idea!

Watch the after-movie below to relive the marathon of 2019 and get inspired to sign up for the 2022 edition

Meet you at the start next year?
