More EV charging points on P27

On 1 August, work will start on the replacement and expansion of the EV charging infrastructure at car park P27.

Over the next five years, Brussels Airport Company intends to install over 1200 EV charging points at the different staff car parks in the vicinity of the terminal and at Brucargo. In doing so, BAC wants to facilitate the electrification of its own vehicle fleet and that of its partners.

Work for the installation of eight charging points at Building 9 is in full swing and is scheduled for completion by 15 September.

Starting the 1st of August, work will commence on the expansion of the charging infrastructure to 122 charging points.

As of Thursday 27 July, the contractor will start putting in place the site signage on P27. Barring unforeseen circumstances, work will be completed on 27 October 2023.

Phased approach

P27 has a capacity of 630 parking spaces. To minimise the impact on the users, work will be carried out in five phases. During the works, at most 65 parking spaces will be unavailable at the same time.

Should the capacity prove to be insufficient in exceptional cases, P40 will be automatically activated as overflow parking for all P27 users.
