Season's greetings 2022!

At the end of an eventful year, in which the entire airport community showed great resilience and solidarity, Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company, looks to the new year with confidence. Because together we can move mountains!

In a video message, Arnaud Feist wishes all members of the airport staff a warm and pleasant festive season with family and friends and above all a healthy 2022, in which we can once again live life to the full and in all freedom.

Below please find a transcript of the video message:

Dear airport colleague,

2021 is drawing to a close. It has been a year of ups and downs, a year of adapting and reinventing ourselves over and over again. Never has the resilience of our community been tested for so long.

And yet, together we kept on believing, together we kept going to prove once more that together we can move mountains.

The entire airport community went to great lengths to provide the best possible service to our passengers and customers despite the uncertain and ever-changing circumstances.

Our airport also played a crucial role in the fight against Covid-19: over 750 million vaccines have been shipped through Brussels Airport to destinations around the globe.

I cannot repeat often enough how grateful I am for all the efforts made by our colleagues and partners. So once again - from the bottom of my heart: thank you, merci!

This feeling of solidarity, of going for the same goal together, is what makes our community so special and so strong. I am convinced that together we can overcome any challenge, no matter how often the virus reinvents itself.

The original Christmas trees here behind me are a fine illustration of what we can achieve together with our partners. Although they are largely made of reclaimed materials, they help to create a festive atmosphere at the airport.

With these many lights, Christmas trees and baubles, we do not only want to create a magical atmosphere for our passengers, but – more importantly - we want to show everyone that despite the many challenges, we remain optimistic about the future of our airport. A future that we will build together in a sustainable way.

And now: on to a new year! But not without first saying a fond farewell to 2021. I wish everyone a warm and cosy festive season with family and friends!

To those taking some time off, I wish an invigorating break so they can step into the new year with renewed energy.

May 2022 be the year in which we can once again experience life fully and freely, the year in which all borders reopen, and we can travel wherever we want without having to worry.

But above all, I wish you all and all your loved ones a healthy and prosperous 2022!

Arnaud Feist

CEO Brussels Airport Company

National industrial action on Wednesday 25 June

What is the situation?

Due to the national industrial action on Wednesday 25 June in which the staff of the security service provider is participating, we unfortunately expect major disruptions to our airport operations on that day.

What does this mean for my flight?

To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with the airlines, not to operate any departing flights on 25 June. The airlines will contact passengers directly to inform them of their options.

Arriving passenger flights

As departing passenger flights are cancelled, cancellations are also possible on some arriving flights. We advise all passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline or on our website or the app.

The flight overview on our website will show cancellations only once they are registered by the airline.

Public transport

Significant disruption to public transport is expected. Please consult the website of  NMBS/SNCB and De Lijn for the latest information regarding their services.

We regret the inconvenience caused by this action.
