A coffee with our neighbour Simon from Kortenberg

In our ‘Coffee with the Neighbours’ series, we’re meeting with Simon T’kint, one of the organisers of the SkySound Festival, which took place for the first time on 8 August in Erps-Kwerps, beneath the flight path to Brussels Airport.

Simon cooked up the idea of organising an aviation-themed music festival with his uncle, who sadly passed away from cancer. To honour his uncle, he went ahead with the plan, with part of the proceeds going to the cancer research charity Kom op tegen Kanker.

The first edition of the SkySound Festival, with aviation as its central theme, was a big success. The date for the next edition has already been set too: 27/07/2027!

Simon is delighted with Brussels Airport’s support for his themed festival and would like to know what other projects Brussels Airport supports.
