The Hockey World Cup begins here

The Hockey World Cup 2026 is almost here. From 15 to 30 August, Belgium and the Netherlands will jointly host the FIH Hockey World Cup. In Wavre, the world’s best hockey nations will compete for the ultimate title. But the tournament begins long before the first match. At Brussels Airport, teams arrive, supporters meet and the excitement starts to build for an unforgettable summer of hockey.

Proud partner of the Hockey World Cup

Brussels Airport is a proud partner of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. As Belgium's international gateway, we will welcome teams, delegations and supporters from around the world throughout the tournament. The airport is a place where people, cultures and stories come together – just like hockey. Over the past few years, the Red Lions and Red Panthers have shown how sport can unite a nation. Through ambition, team spirit and determination, they inspire supporters across Belgium. These values closely reflect what Brussels Airport stands for: ambition, excellence, warmth and integrity.

Hockey experience at the airport

During the Hockey World Cup, Brussels Airport will bring the tournament atmosphere into the terminal. Travellers can take part in a competition for the chance to win a trip for two to the destination of their choice. And while waiting for their flight, they can watch the matches. Interactive games, photo walls and other experiences will bring the Hockey World Cup to life at Brussels Airport.
