Your trip, your way

The Brussels Airport Community is taking part in Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September. Together, we are taking on a big challenge: collecting enough ‘green kilometres’ to complete a journey around the world. Join us by commuting on foot, by bike, by public transport or by carpooling. Inspire your colleagues and you could win amazing prizes!

Every step, every pedal stroke and every bus or carpool journey counts.

During Mobility Week, we’re working with the entire Brussels Airport community to clock up as many green kilometres as possible. Tell us how you get to work here. Alternatively, you can use one of the interactive screens at the airport.

Your personal mobicoach

Are you still looking for the healthiest way to get to the airport? Ask your personal mobility coach any questions you have and book an appointment online via the calendar. This will help you to find the most environmentally friendly route to work.

Did you know that
You can also use Brussels Airport’s route planner to find the most sustainable route to work?

Events calendar

During Mobility Week, there will be plenty of activities and events for the Brussels Airport community. From test bike rides and free breakfast to bike repairs and goodie bags for bus users, we’ll be putting the spotlight on everyone who travels to the airport sustainably from 16 to 22 September.

The Bike Test is a Stargate-campaign to motivate more employees to cycle to work. From Wednesday 16 September to Friday 2 October you can try out a e-bike, e-cargo bike, longtail or speed pedelec for your daily commute. Experience yourself how pleasant it is to cycle to work.

Every employee working at Brussels Airport can participate. The bikes are of excellent quality and come with large bike bags. You can choose from four different types of bicycles:

  • The electric city bike ‘Oxford e-bike’ offers pedal assistance up to 25 km/h.
  • The electric cargo bike ‘Urban Arrow Family’ offers pedal assistance up to 25 km/h and comes with a covered bench to transport 2 children.
  • The electric longtail ‘Oxford Cargo Long’ offers pedal assistance up to 25 km/h and has room for two children.
  • The speed pedelec ‘Riese & Müller Nevo4 vario HS’ and ‘Oxford S pedelec D1125’ are fast electric bikes. Ideal for long trips. The driver is required to have a valid driver’s license B or AM. A bicycle helmet is mandatory and can be borrowed.

Would you like to try a bike for three weeks? Then fill in the registration form. You will receive a confirmation at the latest one week before the start.

On the first day, a mandatory the kick-off meeting will be organised. There you will get practical explanations about the project, information about traffic rules and a small practical training. The kick-off takes place from 16h-17h in the Compass Building of Brussels Airport Company.
