Brussels Airport Fund launches third call for sustainable projects

For the third consecutive year, the Brussels Airport Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation, commits to supporting sustainable projects in the vicinity of the airport. Local organisations have until 17 September to submit a proposal for financial support ranging from €1,000 to €10,000 for concrete initiatives that foster sustainability and social cohesion. An independent jury will make the final selection, which will be announced in early 2026.

A new logistics facility for Nippon Express has been officially inaugurated at Brussels Airport. The new facility spans 10,000 square metres, including approximately 2,000 square metres of temperature-controlled warehouse space. The new building was constructed entirely with sustainable materials and methods by Brussels Airport Company and marks the first development in the broader redevelopment of the Brucargo Central area.
