Chisinau

Chisinau, capital of the Republic of Moldova, lies on the river Bîc. The street scene betrays the Soviet background. The many orthodox churches are typical of Chisinau. The city counts no less than 12 public and 11 private universities. It is not very well known, but Moldova has been making wine for more than 500 years and is actually a real wine country. That, and the fact that Chisinau has great summer experiences to offer, makes an advantageous flight with Air Moldova absolutely worthwhile.
