Algiers

Algiers, the capital of Algeria, lies in the north of the country. Worth visiting here are the Bey Palace, the Museum of Modern Art, the Kasbah and the Notre Dame d'Afrique. The French influences are still clearly visible in the streets and architecture, walking along the boulevard you’ll picture yourself in Marseille. A dive in the Mediterranean sea is also very tempting. Although Algeria is not exactly famous as a beach destination, it really is one.
