The Brussels Airport Rescue-Team provides doctors and nurses around the clock for any sudden medical problem. For passengers, visitors and airport staff.

Where can I find the Medical Centre?

In the terminal at ground level (level 0), at the exit towards the bus station. Come to us if you can: care conditions are best there.

Need help on the spot?

Call 02 753 63 63 from the location of the patient. Give the exact location and the patient's condition, never hang up first and stay with the patient until help arrives.

Police services at the airport

The Federal Police operate two separate services at the airport: the aviation police and the federal judicial police.

  • The aviation police are responsible for the border control and the general policing of the airport complex, among other things. They also man the main call centre. The officers usually wear uniforms.

  • The federal judicial police at the airport - often in plain clothes - specialise in judicial investigations, mainly in the area of organised cross-border crime.

The Federal Airport Health Authority

Saniport, the Federal Airport Health Authority, implements the International Health Regulations (2005) at the Points of Entry - in Belgium's territory. It establishes a first health barrier against potential global health threats (e.g. SARS, pandemics) and actively participates in controlling vector-borne diseases (malaria, Chikungunya disease, West Nile virus).

The Federal Airport Health Authority officials monitor the hygiene status of the equipment used by airport passengers and are responsible for destroying luggage and consignments which represent a health risk.
