100 days to go until the Winter Olympics

Brussels Airport, Team Belgium and Paralympic Team Belgium unveil countdown clock in the departure hall  

Brussels Airport, the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (BOIC) and the Belgian Paralympic Committee (BPC) have jointly unveiled an impressive countdown clock in the departure hall of Brussels Airport. The clock is counting down to the start of the Olympic Winter Games on 6 February 2026, in exactly 100 days. Brussels Airport has extended and deepened its partnership with Team Belgium and Paralympic Team Belgium. For many athletes, Brussels Airport is the start and finishing point of their Olympic dream.   

The button to start the countdown clock to the Olympic Winter Games was pressed this morning by Brussels Airport CEO Arnaud Feist, BOIC CEO Cédric Van Branteghem, BOIC president Jean-Michel Saive and BPC president Ellen Van Camp. The two-metre-high, cube-shaped clock is counting down to the start of the Milan-Cortina Winter Games, 100 days away. This event also symbolises the renewed collaboration.

In early January 2026, the countdown clock will be relocated from the departure hall to the area near the Tintin rocket in Pier A. From 23 February 2026, it will begin to count down there to the start of the Paralympic Winter Games in Milan-Cortina on 6 March 2026. 

Brussels Airport, Team Belgium and Paralympic Team Belgium strengthen and renew their partnership
