Nonstop to Shenzhen with Hainan Airlines as of March

Starting 20 March 2018, Hainan Airlines will operate a two weekly nonstop service between Brussels Airport and Shenzhen, the modern metropolis in the Pearl River Delta in southeast China. All flights will be carried out with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Hainan Airlines has been operating at Brussels Airport for over 10 years. In 2006, the carrier opened a direct route to Bejing and in October last year they added a nonstop service to Shanghai.

After Beijing Capital International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shenzhen Boa’an International Airport will be Hainan's third nonstop destination from Brussels Airport.

Until early 2017 Shenzhen Boa’an mainly focussed on domestic and regional traffic, but the airport is expanding its international and intercontinental network. The Shenzhen - Brussels route is one of the first to the European continent.

The new route to Shenzhen is the second route to the south of China to be operated from Brussels Airport. Last year, Cathay Pacific announced that it would start operating a four weekly service to Hong Kong as of 25 March.
