As of this week Brussels Airlines operates flights to four new destinations in western Africa. The new destinations are Accra (Ghana), Lomé (Togo), Cotonou (Benin) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Moreover the airline increases the frequency on its route to Abidjan (Ivory Coast).

The new routes create direct employment for 100 staff with Brussels Airlines, and at least as many with other companies at and in the vicinity of the airport. They will be operated by a new Airbus A330-300.
