In conformity with the Flemish Environmental Legislation, The Brussels Airport Company publishes annual noise contours that show the noise situation in the vicinity of Brussels Airport. These contours are calculated by the Laboratory for Acoustics and Thermal Physics of the K.U.Leuven. They are checked for accuracy against the noise measurement at a number of locations around the airport.
