Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many pieces of hand baggage am I allowed to take?

Some airlines allow two or more pieces of hand baggage per passenger, but with most airlines hand baggage is limited to one piece.
Apart from the (hand)bag you take with you into the cabin, you can also take a few loose items:
- something to read
- a coat or rain coat
- a folding umbrella or cane (not pointed)
- a collapsible stroller for your baby or toddler
- a camera
- your Tax Free or Duty Free purchases

One you arrive at the gate some of these items may be "taken" from you to be put into the hold as hold baggage. This usually is the case with strollers.
Here too the same basic rule applies: check the details with your airline. Start by consulting their website.
