Brussels Airport first airport with CEIV Pharma certification

Brussels Airport's is the first airport community in the world to have received the IATA CEIV Pharma certificate. This certificate, which is issued by the International Air Transport Association is a guarantee for pharmaceutical manufacturers that their products are transported in accordance with best practices. 

​Eleven companies at Brussels Airport are participating in the programme. Their quality of their handling of temperature-sensitive pharma was closely monitored during 11 weeks, especially with regard to cold chain integrity.

The eleven particpating companies include 2 airlines (Brussels Airlines and Finnair Cargo), 3 handlers (Aviapartner, Swissport and WFS) and 5 transport and logistics companies.

The certificate was handed to Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company by Tony Tyler, Diretor General of IATA who congratulated Brussels Airport and the other stakeholders for their efforts.  “I trust that your success will lead to a stronger and more competitive air cargo service for this vital sector of the global economy”, he said.

“This acknowledgement allows Brussels Airport and its cargo community stakeholders to consolidate its prominent position in the world and to confirm its level of competence as leading transport hub in Europe”, says Arnaud Feist, CEO Brussels Airport Company.", Arnaud Feist added.
