Today, 18 September, Emirates flew one of its A380 flagships to our airport, a one-off event to celebrate the first anniversary of its operations at Brussels Airport.
Flight EK183 from Dubai touched down on runway 25L at 1.15 pm attracting large numbers of spotters and other spectators.
The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airline in the world. The plane has an overall length of 72.72 m, a cabin width of 6.54 m, a height of 24.09 m and a wing span of 79.75 m
The A380 is a double-deck, twin-aisle airliner that can take up to 853 passengers. In a standard configuration the plane seats 544 passengers.
Most of Emirates 66 A380s carry 519 passengers: 429 in economy, 76 lie-flat business class seats and 14 private First Class suites.
