Yesterday, 28 February, Jetairfly’s brand-new Embraer 190 touched down at Brussels Airport. Jetairfly is the first Belgian airline to start using the E190 of the Brazilian aircraft constructor.
On 20 February Jetairfly already received a new B737 and the coming few months the carrier will extend its fleet by another 3 planes. Mid March a second Embraer will be flown to Belgium and in April another two Boeing 737s will be delivered.
The Embraer 190 seats 112 passengers. With a cruising speed of 860km/h it is the fastest passenger aircraft in Belgium. Jetairfly can now operate direct flights to relatively smaller destinations such as Alicante and Almeria. Until today a larger Boeing B737 flew to both destinations with a stopover.
