No traditional Christmas tree with balls and garlands in the departures hall this year. Instead, passengers will find a seven-metre tall tree made of no less than 1,200 Disney soft toys in Connector.
After the Christmas period all 12,000 soft toys will be donated to several charities. The Red Cross, among others, will distribute the soft toys to children from socially vulnerable families.
But that's not all. Brussels Airport invites people to make their own soft toy tree. Posting a picture of it on the Brussels Airport Facebook page will win them a Brussels Airport cuddly toy.
What’s more, Brussels Airport will also donate 5 euros to the Red Cross for every photo it receives. This campaign runs from 7 December until 28 December.
