Departures hall partly reopened

reopeningdephallOn Sunday 1 May at 2.30 pm the departures hall at Brussels Airport was officially reopened the departures hall during a short reopening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was attended by employees of the airport community and the emergency services, as well as representatives of the highest authorities of the country.

Among the official guests were Prime Minister Charles Michel, vice-PMs Jan Jambon and Alexander De Croo, Transport Minister François Bellot, Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration Theo Francken as well as Chariman of the Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke.

During the opening ceremony the first passengers entered the reopened departures hall. In total, about 400 passengers for Malaga, Lisbon and Palma de Mallorca checked in at the reopened departures hall at Brussels Airport on Sunday.

As of Monday 111 check-in desks will be open in the departures hall, in addition to the 36 desks in the temporary construction.
